Sally's
dad told her that her grandma was coming for a visit. She had
never met her grandma. He warned that her grandma was very
cranky and could be mean.
|
Sally was a little fearful to meet her grandma. Especially
when dad told her to go and meet her at the train station that was
just down the street from where they lived.
|
She watched for an older lady that looked mean, but all she saw was
a nice looking lady, that seemed to be kind and loving. The
lady called to Sally, and told her that she was her grandmother.
|
.Grandma
told her that her life was changed by Jesus, and that she was a
brand new person. She was very kind to Sally over the next few
days. She told her that Jesus loved her and died for her
sins. Sally prayed with Grandma and asked Jesus to come into
her heart, just like grandma had done.
|
Sally's dad told grandma not to preach to him, but he let grandma
bring children from the neighborhood to teach them about
Jesus. One of the days that the children were coming to hear
about Jesus, her day stayed in the room reading his newspaper.
At the end of the lesson, grandma asked if anyone wanted to ask
Jesus into their hearts. None of the children raised their
hands, so Sally said to grandma after they had gone. grandma
no one asked Jesus into their hearts, but grandma said yes there was
one.
|
You
see, Sally's dad raised his hand, and Sally did not see him.
It was so wonderful to see the change in Sally's dad. They all
went to church together from then on.
